Frequently asked questions.

What is airsoft?

Let’s say you stumbled on our website while browsing the internet, or somehow overheard our name in conversation and found yourself here without even knowing what airsoft is! To answer your first question as simply as possible; Airsoft is a form of live action gaming where participants simulate gunfights using replicas known as “airsoft guns.” These replicas shoot plastic BBs using air power at a regulated velocity so as not to cause bodily harm. Think “Call Of Duty” or “Battlefield,” but in real life and without physics glitches! Airsoft is a hobby enjoyed by enthusiasts worldwide in a wide variety of styles and game formats, and participants of all ages, from all walks of life play in these games. Airsoft is perfectly safe as long as basic safety rules are followed and eye protection is properly worn. Be sure to read our Ruleset to learn more about safety while playing airsoft.

What should I expect from Gun Gamers Productions airsoft games?

Gun Gamers Productions runs 12 hour long airsoft events lasting from the morning until the night. Our goal is to provide an intense, focused, mission based airsoft game with participants experiencing a variety of challenges throughout the day. Factions will battle over objectives which rotate throughout the day with players organized into groups based on a platoon and squad structure. The staff chain of command will ensure that players have a safe and fun day of airsoft with a variety of gameplay situations.

Is Gun Gamers Productions a “MilSim” event company?

We prefer to call our games “scenario based airsoft games.” Gun Gamers Productions aims to accommodate players who may be new to MilSim style airsoft gaming, as well as players who enjoy the organization and resource management typically only present at hardcore MilSim events. We will be using faction organization, issued ammo, medic, and weapon rules that should be familiar to MilSim players. That said, our focus is not on strict military authenticity or recreations of real or possible conflicts between standing militaries, and our scenarios may delve into other concepts than force on force war-gaming. We focus on creating a fun day of airsoft gaming using the methods and design philosophy we have gathered over many years of participating in this hobby both as players and organizers. We will publish all relevant scenario information with the announcement of each event as they come!

What should I bring?

Gun Gamers Productions games run for 12 hours from “Game On” to “Game Over!” There are no set stoppages in play or lunch breaks, so you should be bringing everything into the field with you that you need for 12 hours of airsoft gaming. You should carry everything loaded into a backpack, tactical vest, or other load bearing solution which you can keep on your person for the entire day as your spawn points may move several times throughout the day. This includes, at a minimum, a starting fill of water, all necessary batteries, gas, or air, some food to keep you going, and an extra cold/wet weather layer. We have a full packing list along with some example loadouts right here on the website! Learn more!

How do I get started?

A great place to start is by reading our full published ruleset on this website, checking out our example loadouts and packing list, and then going ahead and buying a ticket for a great day of airsoft! Learn more!

What if my airsoft replica doesn’t comply with the rules for my desired weapons class?

Any airsoft equipment being brought to Gun Gamers Productions must meet the criteria as laid out in our ruleset in order to be used as its given class. For example, if your airsoft replica exceeds the standard energy limit but does not meet all physical criteria for a class with a boosted energy limit, you will not be allowed to use it. The reverse, however, is not true. If your airsoft replica meets all physical criteria for a boosted energy limit but it does not output more than the standard energy limit, you will be allowed to use that replica as the equivalent class with the standard energy limit and engagement rules!

What kind of airsoft guns can I use?

All commercially available airsoft replicas which can meet the requirements of our ruleset are approved for use at Gun Gamers Productions. Modifications can be made to these replicas in whatever manner you choose, so long as the final product complies with our ruleset. However, homemade or custom built airsoft guns which do not use a commercially available airsoft system must be approved by staff before being allowed into the playing field. Gun Gamers Productions staff will evaluate your custom build for safety and rules compliance before deciding in what manner it can or cannot be used. All airsoft guns to be used at Gun Gamers Productions must be purpose built airsoft guns. No modified air rifles, BB guns, or firearms are allowed.

Can I refund or transfer my ticket if I am unable to attend?

Per our Terms & Conditions, we do not offer refunds if a participant is not able to attend a game. All ticket sales are non-refundable, but may be transferred to another player at the discretion of the ticketholder. All ticket transfers must be communicated with event staff via email at gungamerproductions@gmail.com with the full name, date of birth, mailing address, and contact information of both the ticketholder and the player receiving the transferred ticket provided so that event staff may properly update the roster.

Refunds will be issued only by Gun Gamers Productions LLC. in the event that a game must be canceled, postponed, or moved. All participants in this case will have the option to receive a refund, transfer their ticket to another player, or transfer their ticket to the new date, new venue, or another event in the future.

Can I bring my own vehicle to use in Gun Gamers Productions games?

Gun Gamers Productions games may or may not include the use of vehicles. This will be communicated to players at the announcement of each event. Any games which allow vehicles will utilize our vehicle rules which can be found in our ruleset and players may apply to Gun Gamers Productions to bring their vehicle. All vehicle owners must provide proof of a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance with liability coverage of at least $100,000, and pictures and description of the vehicle to be used. All vehicles are required to have a member of Gun Gamers Productions staff as a ride-along at all times. More information can be found in each event’s vehicle ruleset, if applicable.

Why do you limit pyro and require use of issued ammo?

Designing an exceptional airsoft game often requires a level of equipment and supplies balancing not possible without some game control of those resources. The in game supply chain helps ensure players are on an even playing field and must make intelligent use of their resources in order to accomplish objectives throughout the day, while also introducing more fun opportunities for objectives and mission design. Give these mechanics a try for yourself and you’ll see what we mean!

Can I skydive into your airsoft game?

At this time, we do not believe this is a service that makes sense for anybody under any circumstances, ever. Please stop asking.

You know who you are.
